The Assistant Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami in Bangladesh, Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, has demanded from the interim government that Sheikh Hasina should be brought back to the land of Bengal and ensure the trial of genocide. He said that the nation should be united so that no evil force can create chaos in the land of Bengal.
He said these things while addressing a public meeting organized by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Salop Union on Friday (November 8) at 4 pm at Nalsondha school ground in Ullapara.
Rafiqul Islam Khan said, ‘People have been deprived of their right to vote in the last 16 years. People’s freedom of expression was taken away. Opposition party leaders and activists were not allowed to hold any kind of rally-meeting. Those who spoke out against this fascism were killed, disappeared, jailed on false charges. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir are the most affected groups of this torture. Jamaat’s top leaders were hanged by staging a fake drama. This Jamaat leader demanded justice for all the crimes committed by dictator Sheikh Hasina and her friends.
Secretary of Salop Union Jamaat Maulana Golam Mostafa presided over the public meeting as a special guest. District Jamaat Amir Principal Maulana Shahinur Alam, Ullapara Upazila Jamaat Amir and former Vice Chairman Professor Shahjahan Ali, Shahjadpur Upazila Jamaat Amir Professor Mizanur Rahman, Upazila Majlish Shura Member Rafiqul Islam Pradhan, Working council member of Belkuchi Upazila Jamaat Maulana Golam Azam, former Amir of Ullapara Upazila Jamaat. Maulana Nazrul Islam, Secretary of Upazila Jamaat Khairul Islam, Former Central Office Secretary of Shibir Maulana Noor Mohammad Mandal, Office Secretary of Upazila Jamaat A: Bari, Former Chairman of Salop Union Khandkar Shahidul Islam etc.
