Everyone’s cooperation is needed to build a country free of discrimination and corruption: Dr. Shafiqur Rahman

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said that everyone’s united cooperation is needed to build a discrimination-free, corruption-free, and humane Bangladesh.


He made these remarks as the chief guest at a workers’ conference organized by Sylhet District Jamaat on Friday (December 13) morning.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, after a long period of injustice, lawlessness and oppression by the fallen dictators, Bangladesh got back on its path on August 5, 2024. The people of the country can now breathe in peace and comfort. But the fallen dictators have not stopped yet. They are making various conspiracies one after another, but Allah Almighty has thwarted all the plans of the dictators and their allies.

He said, “We want to build a Bangladesh of equality, the dream of students and the people. The countrymen have made many sacrifices for a long time. If necessary, we will have to make more sacrifices than before to build the Bangladesh of the future.” He called on everyone to remain united against all discrimination, injustice, and injustice.

The Ameer-e-Jamaat said, “There have been many conspiracies and plots against Jamaat both at home and abroad. As an organization, no one has suffered such a huge loss as we have. Even then, we had called upon our leaders and activists to remain patient and calm. Everyone has responded to that call. Despite all this loss, no evil force has been able to make us bow our heads, and insha’Allah, it will not be able to do so in the future either.”

The conference, chaired by Sylhet District Ameer and Central Majlish-e-Shura member Maulana Habibur Rahman, was addressed as special guests by Assistant Secretary General Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, Central Executive Council member and Dhaka Metropolitan North Ameer Mr. Mohammad Selim Uddin, Central Working Committee member Professor Fazlur Rahman, Central Working Committee member and Sylhet Metropolitan Ameer Md. Fakhrul Islam.

The conference, jointly organized by Joynal Abedin, District Assistant Secretary Principal Nazrul Islam and Maulana Mashuk Ahmed, was addressed by Sunamganj District Ameer Maulana Tofail Ahmed Khan, Moulvibazar District Ameer Engineer Shahed Ali, Central Majlish-e-Shura member and Sylhet District Jamaat Nayeb-e-Ameer Principal Abdul Hannan, Central Majlish-e-Shura member and Sylhet District Nayeb-e-Ameer Hafez Anwar Hossain Khan, Habiganj District Jamaat Secretary Kazi Mohsin Ahmed, District Majlish-e-Shura and Working Council member former Upazila Chairman Maulana Lokman Ahmed, District Majlish-e-Shura and Working Council member Vice-Principal Maulana Syed Faizullah Bahar, District Shura and Working Council member former Fenchuganj Upazila Parishad Chairman Saifullah Al-Hossain, Shura and Working Council member and Former chairman of Golapganj Upazila Parishad Hafiz Nazmul Islam, Islami Chhatra Shibir Central Executive Council member and Sylhet Metropolitan President Sharif Mahmud, Shabiprabi Chhatra Shibir President Tarek Monowar, Chhatra Shibir Sylhet District Former President Maruf Ahmed, among others.

Speaking as a special guest at the conference, Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair said, “Bangladesh has awakened. Our youth and youth have proven that no matter how strong the dictatorship is, it cannot survive if the countrymen are united.”

In his speech as a special guest, Muhammad Selim Uddin said, “It was not an anti-national, self-interested group that divided Bangladesh through conspiracy and lies. But after the student-people’s revolution of August 5, the countrymen are united today. This unity is our strength. We must maintain it.”

District Ameer Maulana Habibur Rahman said in his speech that the students and the public have proven with their blood that they are ready to make any sacrifice against corruption and for good governance. The countrymen are looking to Jamaat to establish good governance. We have to work to fulfill that expectation.
