The Chief Advisor of the Interim Government of Bangladesh will address the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in Bengali. Muhammad Yunus.
He is scheduled to deliver a speech at 10 a.m. New York local time on Friday (September 27) at the General Assembly Hall at UN headquarters.
It is said that in the context in which he assumed the role of the chief advisor of the interim government, what initiatives he has taken in reforming the state will be highlighted. Besides, he will ask for the cooperation and assistance of the people of the world to stop the genocide in Palestine and the Russia-Ukraine war immediately and to solve the Rohingya crisis.
At the same time, it is also known that climate change, inclusive economic development of the government and other global-regional issues will be highlighted in the speech.
The theme for the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly is ‘Leaving no one behind: working together to advance peace, sustainable development and human dignity for present and future generations.’
