In Ranishankoil of Thakurgaon, a massive search for gold has been going on for several days in a brick kiln. The administration has issued Section 144 in fear of deteriorating law and order situation.
Section 144 will remain in force from Saturday night until further notice. Ranishankoil Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rakibul Hasan gave this order in a circular at night.
The brick kiln named Arab Bricks is located in Rajor village of Bachor union of the upazila. Bhatta owner Ruhul Amin.
According to the notification, gold is being found by digging the piles of soil in the brickyard called Arabic Bricks. Many people, including local people, from various places around the area have been digging for gold with shovels, hoes, and shovels for quite some time. There is a danger of deterioration of the law and order situation along with fights, murders, injuries at any time. Section 144 has been issued in and around Itbhata to keep the law and order situation normal.
According to local sources, the authorities cut the soil from the cropland and piled it in the kiln as raw material for bricks. Recently, news spread that the workers found gold while cutting that soil. After that, villagers started crowding there with spades, khuntis, shabals, basilas. People from surrounding areas and even from far away are flocking there after getting the news on social media. But no one could say for sure who got the gold.
