Demonstration in 5 universities demanding cancellation of quota

University students protested against the restoration of 30 percent quota for freedom fighters in first and second class government jobs. Today Thursday, the program organized in five universities of the country demanded cancellation of quota. If the quota is not cancelled, they warned of a strong movement. 

This afternoon, the students gathered in front of the central library of Dhaka University and held a short rally in the premises of Shaheed Minar. At this time, they don’t want quota, they want merit; Let the quota system die, intellectuals chant Mukti Pak slogans and display placards.

Students protested in Jahangirnagar University on the same demand. At the end of the procession yesterday morning, they blocked the Dhaka-Aricha highway adjacent to the main gate for five minutes. In a short rally organized there, they warned of a strong movement if the quota is not abolished. 

Students protested at Jagannath University yesterday. At that time, they demanded cancellation of all types of quotas in government jobs. Later, the agitators went around Bahadur Shah Park with a procession and gathered in front of the main gate.
