Congratulating the expatriate Bangladeshis, he said that every expatriate is a representative of his country abroad. If he commits a crime, his country is disgraced. Laws should be obeyed to increase the status of the country. The minister also gave important instructions on special pension schemes for expatriates, offshore banking and business ownership in expatriates.
After performing the Holy Hajj in Saudi Arabia and after the Rawza Sharif pilgrimage of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) on Thursday evening in a local hotel in Madinah, the Foreign Minister gave these congratulations and instructions.
Under the chairmanship of Awami Jubo League Madina Branch President Zahirul Islam, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Saudi Arabia Mohammad Javed Patwari, Consul General appointed in Jeddah Mohammad Nazmul Haque and local expatriate Bangladeshis attended the meeting.

Pointing out that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina values expatriates with great importance, the foreign minister said that as easily as an expatriate can reach the Prime Minister, it is not possible even for the district Awami League leader of the country. The Prime Minister has launched a special pension scheme for expatriates, which can be availed even by the age of 55, offshore banking facilities for expatriates, where dollar accounts can also be opened easily.
The foreign minister encouraged people to acquire business ownership while working abroad.

Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmood will accompany the Prime Minister on his visit to India directly from Saudi Arabia to New Delhi, India on Friday.
