Bangladesh Army has rescued about 9,500 flood-affected people from Feni, Noakhali and Comilla districts.
Of them, relief assistance has been given to 4,500 people.
Relief and rescue operations have been going on since Wednesday afternoon.
Major General Jahangir Alam, GOC and area commander of 33 Infantry Division of Comilla Cantonment, is leading rescue operations in flood-affected areas.
He said: “The victims are being taken to shelters using boats and speedboats. Additionally, about 20 sick individuals have been airlifted from Feni to the Comilla CMH hospital for medical treatment. Among them is a woman who has given birth to a boy.”
Both the mother and child are healthy, according to military sources.
