In the meantime, a post about a child on Facebook has gone viral. Posting the picture of the child, it is being claimed that the child died after being bitten by a Russell viper while playing in the yard of the house in Nawapara, Jessore district.
Film actress and dancer Anjana Rahman shared the same picture on Facebook. He posted the picture and claimed that a small child died after being bitten by a Russell viper while playing in the yard of his house in Sirajganj. However, he later deleted this post. Later, Anjana Rahman shared a post regarding Jessore’s incident claim.
Rumor scanner team’s investigation revealed that the incident of child death due to Russel viper bite in Jessore or Sirajganj is not in that area. This incident did not happen recently. In Cox’s Bazar, in 2022, using a picture of a child who died of a snakebite, the discussed false claims are being propagated.
Numer Scanner also reported that on October 12, 2022, Sadek Md. was bitten by a snake in Nandir neighborhood of Sadar Union of Pekua Upazila of Cox’s Bazar. A child named Jihan (4) has died. However, the news did not mention which snake the child died of. That is, the child whose photo is being circulated as a recent incident died in 2022.
No information has been received regarding whether anyone died in Jessore’s Nawapara or Sirajganj today or recently due to Russell’s Viper attack.
