The Central Chhatra Dal filed a case against the expelled leader of the Kalabagan Thana Chhatra Dal of the capital on specific charges of defaming the reputation of the party including extortion. Chhatra Dal’s central office secretary Jahangir Alam informed this information in a press release.
According to the notice of the Chhatra Dal, on Monday (September 2), the recently expelled convener of the Kalabagan Thana Chhatra Dal, Obaidul Islam Saikat, along with 15/20 people, attacked a business establishment named Chandpur Store next to Panthpath Signal and looted Tk 60,000 in cash. At the same time, they physically beat some people including the owner of the establishment.
The Chhatra Dal immediately expelled him on the basis of clear evidence of his involvement in that criminal activity. At the same time, the senior joint general secretary of the organization’s central parliament, Shyamal Malum, has filed a case with the officer-in-charge (OC) of the Kalabagan police station in the official pad of the Chhatra Dal.
