A case has been filed against former Law Minister Anisul Haque, former Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation Barrister Fazle Noor Tapas, former Attorney General AM Amin Uddin and 40 others for fraud in Supreme Court Lawyers Association elections.
Supreme Court lawyer ABM Ibrahim Khalil filed a case in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md. Aktaruzzaman’s court on Wednesday.
The court accepted the statement of the plaintiff and directed the Shahbag police station to investigate the complaint and submit a report.
Other accused in the case include former Law Minister Anisul Haque, Barrister Fazle Noor Tapas, Advocate Mumtaz Uddin Fakir, Abdur Noor Dulal, Barrister Mehdi Hasan Chowdhury, Former Additional Attorney General Sheikh Md Morshed, Former DB Chief Haroon-or-Rashid, DB Ramna (Supreme Court Incharge) Mohammad Momin, former ADC of Ramna Zone Harun, Assistant Commissioner of Ramna Zone Bayejidur Rahman, Senior Assistant Police Commissioner of Ramna Zone Abdul Al Masum, Senior Assistant Police Commissioner of Newmarket Zone Sharif Mohammad Farooq, Police Inspector of Shahbag Police Station Md. Mahfuzul Haque Bhuiya and others.
It is said in the complaint of the case, on March 15, 2019, at 10 am in the auditorium of the Supreme Court Lawyers Association, 40-50 unidentified lawyers, Jubo League and 100 special policemen, along with some accused persons, suddenly attacked the Supreme Court Lawyers Association in the auditorium of the bar. destroyed The accused threw out the lawyers from inside the Supreme Court auditorium led by the so-called Election Commissioner and conducted fake and bogus votes, produced fake ballots and cast fake votes in the ballot themselves.
It is also mentioned that the defendants declared 14 persons elected by corrupting the election process and placed them in charge of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
