Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP is celebrating its 46th founding anniversary on September 1 today.
On this day in 1978 former president of Bangladesh Ziaur Rahman formed the party.
On the occasion of the founding anniversary, the party has informed that the leaders and activists paid tribute at the grave of Ziaur Rahman at Chandrima Udyan in Dhaka on Sunday at 11 am.
Apart from this, BNP has various programs including processions, discussion meetings, tree planting.
Earlier, however, the party had announced plans for a major program including a rally to mark its founding anniversary.
But later the program was canceled and it was announced that the money would be deposited in the flood victims’ relief fund.
BNP and its organizations will hold processions in all cities, districts and upazilas of the country on Monday.
