The party has announced a three-day program including a rally in Dhaka to demand the release and better treatment of BNP chairperson and former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
Secretary General of the party Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced this program after the joint meeting of Naya Paltan BNP office on Wednesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that there will be a rally in front of Naya Paltan’s office on June 29 at 3 pm; On July 1, the rally will be held in major cities across the country and on July 3, the BNP will hold a rally in the district headquarters across the country to demand Khaleda Zia’s release.
He said that BNP has decided that the movement for the release of the national leader Begum Khaleda Zia will be accelerated. We want to take this liberation movement to a final stage. For that purpose we have taken some decisions in our joint meeting today.
Fakhrul said, today the national leader Begum Khaleda Zia is fighting with death. You know, after a few days he had to come to the hospital. Now that he was coming, we got him back by God’s mercy. His chances of recovery were very difficult if the doctor could not treat him in time. In this condition, our doctors repeatedly said that he should be taken to an advanced medical center outside. But the government is not letting him go. They have systematically used the courts to deprive them of it. That is why BNP has decided to strengthen the movement for the release of the national leader.
Fakhrul said, we expect the people, they will try their best to create an opportunity for Khaleda Zia to do politics in the open air and jump into the movement.
