Azhari’s call not to help the oppressor

Maulana Mizanur Rahman Azhari, a popular Islamic speaker living in Malaysia, has called upon the countrymen to speak up for the oppressed instead of helping the oppressors.

He made the call in a status on his verified Facebook page on Friday (November 8).

In the Facebook status, Azhari wrote, ‘Be the voice of the oppressed, not the helper of the oppressor.’

Mizanur Rahman Azhari attached a picture to his Facebook status. It contains a hadith of Sunanu Ibn Majah.

The hadith is – Rasulullah (s.a.w.s.) stated that whoever takes the side of the oppressor or assists in oppression, remains in the wrath of Allah until he abandons it. (Sunanu Ibn Majah: 2320)

Before this, Azhari came to the country on October 2. After staying in the country for 8 days, he returned to Malaysia after 9 days. In the meantime, he has organized a few close meetup programs with scholars and well-wishers of the country.

In the Facebook status given before leaving, he said that he came to the country for a short visit after five long years. Spent most of the time with family. In the meantime, I organized a close meet-up program with scholars and well-wishers of various genres.

Alhamdulillah, that day was really enjoyable. However, due to organizing the program at short notice, many dear brothers could not come. Again, due to a somewhat hasty invitation, many were inadvertently left out. I hope you will look at it kindly. Looking forward to meeting everyone later.
