BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir described the attack by the law enforcement forces and Chhatra League on the protesting students as cowardly and despicable. He condemned and protested and said that the students were brutally attacked. Those who promote law enforcement and terrorists are anti-human and inhumane. The terrorists involved in such evil activities must be punished.
BNP Secretary General said these things in a statement on Monday. He said that this violent attack was carried out due to the fear of losing power. The bloody suppression of students’ legitimate demands to stay in power will go down in history as another violent chapter of Awami fascism. People, state, society, freedom, sovereignty are never safe in their hands. The ruling group is now desperate for the heroism of shedding the blood of the students. They want to silence the people of the country by adopting terrible methods of repression.
Mirza Fakhrul also said that the Awami League government has taken the same approach of suppressing the movement of ordinary students as it is running a steamroller on the movement of pro-democracy political parties. The government has lost its grip on the street movement for the just demand of quota reform. After canceling the quota in 2018, the prime minister of the illegal government reinstated the quota in a different manner this year.
