Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar said that the fascist Awami government fell in the face of intense mass movement of students. The country is free from dictatorship. Today we can breathe fully. The vast masses of the country are dreaming of a new Bangladesh of peace and tranquility free from exploitation, where there will be no discrimination, oppression and intimidation. Millions of people from all walks of life, including students like our children, had to accept sacrifice in this mass revolution of the students. Thousands of people including students had to die. Many students were injured. Many lost their eyes and became crippled forever. In exchange of the fresh blood of thousands of martyrs and sacrifices of millions of people, we got freedom again in 2024. The credit of this achievement goes solely to the students, our children. What we could not do in 16 long years, our children have done today. The best children of the nation are the students who have received martyrdom in the mass revolution. In exchange for their fresh blood, the fascist government sitting on the neck of the nation like a stone has fallen. We will never forget the children like students.

He said these things in his speech as the chief guest of the exchange meeting and financial support program organized by Jessore City Organizational District Jamaat under the chairmanship of Prof. Gholam Rasool.

Central Executive Council Member and Jessore-Kushtia Region Director Mubarak Hossain, Central Working Council Member Maulana Azizur Rahman, Central Majlis Shura Member and Khulna Metropolitan Amir Professor Mahfuzur Rahman, Jessore East District acting Amir Abdul Aziz, Jessore West District spoke as special guests. Amir Maulana Habibur Rahman, Narail District Amir Advocate Ataur Rahman Bachchu, Shaheed Imtiaz’s father Nowsher Ali and Shaheed Tauhidur Rahman’s wife Nasreen Sultana etc.

Professor Miya Golam Parwar also said, we have gained this second freedom in exchange of thousands of lives. This opportunity should be used for nation building. We strongly believe that this unity of the students will be strong and we will be able to counter any anti-national conspiracy, Inshallah. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is engaged in the work of building a happy and prosperous human Bangladesh free from exploitation and discrimination regardless of caste, religion and caste. We call upon you to fully cooperate with Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in building Bangladesh free from hunger and poverty.

He said that it is necessary to establish a non-discrimination, communal-harmony society to take the country to a place of meaningful stability and development after the historic revolution of the students. The officials of the previous fascist regime, the party armed terrorists who have carried out anarchic massacres in the country must be immediately brought to justice and exemplary punishment. Rule of law should be established in every sector of the country. Fundamental rights of citizens should be ensured. Officials supporting the misdeeds of the tyrannical Hasina government should be removed and replaced by honest, efficient, competent and professional officials. The country’s economy must be strengthened by bringing back the smuggled money looted by fascists.

Bringing up the flood issue of Professor Mia Golam Parwar, he said that India, the so-called friendly country, has turned a large area of Bangladesh into a desert by damming 54 rivers including Farakka. Thousands of acres of land in Bangladesh are destroyed every year due to lack of water during the summer dry season. India then withheld water and dried us up. Again in the rainy season when there is no need for water, the water is released and floods us. We are shocked by this inhuman act of Indian government. Naturally, the question arises in the minds of the people of Bangladesh, how is India our friend! We condemn them for such inhuman act.

Special guest Mubarak Hossain said, Abu Saeed-Mugdha sacrificed their precious lives to achieve our second independence. We should honor and remember them properly. The injured should be provided medical care under state management. The disabled should be rehabilitated by the state. The families of the martyrs are helpless today. It is the moral responsibility of the 17 crore people of the country to stand by them. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr. from this sense of responsibility. Today we have come to Jessore on behalf of Shafiqur Rahman. We are going to every martyr’s family, inquiring and consoling them and by the infinite mercy of the Almighty, our hand of help to them continues, Alhamdulillah.
