A low pressure may develop over east central Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas. As a result, the Meteorological Department has predicted stormy winds over three regions of the country by noon.
This information is given in the weather forecast for the inland river ports of the country till 1 pm on Thursday (August 29).
It said that rain or thundershowers with gusty winds of 45-60 km per hour may occur temporarily over Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet areas from the south-south-east direction. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
Meanwhile, in the next 24 hours, a low pressure may develop in the east-central Bay of Bengal and adjacent areas, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department said. It is predicted that this low pressure which will be created in the sea may turn into the highest visible low pressure and move towards India. As a result it will not affect Bangladesh. However, as a result of this low pressure of the sea, the temperature of the country will increase slightly, said the Meteorological Office.
