Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has strongly condemned and protested against Indian Home Minister Amit Shah’s comment that ‘BJP government will straighten Bangladeshi infiltrators by hanging their legs upwards’.
Secretary General of the party and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar condemned this in a statement on Sunday.
According to the statement, the Indian Home Minister’s statement that ‘infiltrating Bangladeshis will be straightened by hanging their legs upwards’ is contrary to international law and human rights. I condemn and protest his statement.
The statement also said that such statements of Amit Shah do not indicate friendly relations with Bangladesh. The people of Bangladesh do not expect such a statement from India.
Golam Parwar said, I call upon Indian Home Minister Amit Shah to avoid such statements and draw the attention of the Bangladesh government to protest against these statements.
