BNP national executive committee member and former central president of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Kazi Rawonkul Islam Shravan has been accused of being attacked by Chhatra League.
The attack took place in front of Shilpakala Academy of the capital on Tuesday (21 May) around 9 pm. The injured Shravan is currently undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
According to the eyewitnesses, while chatting with the activists, some riotous activists of the Chhatra League ambushed Shravan with rods-chapati-ramda-hockeysticks and seriously injured Shravan.
In this regard, Shravan alleged that the BCL workers openly attacked him with Jai Bangla slogans.
Meanwhile, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi strongly condemned the attack on Shravan. He said, this government is bleeding the entire country. The bloodthirsty government is rejoicing with the blood of the pro-democracy soldier. But blood is never wasted in struggle. Everything will be judged one day on the soil of Bengal.
