After the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government, the authorities have announced the closure of all airports in the country. Today Monday from 5:15 PM, flights at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport are closed.
Airport Director Group Captain Kamrul Islam confirmed the matter.
He told the media that flights have been stopped at Shahjalal International Airport since 5:15 PM on Monday. Further instructions will be notified when available.
It is to be noted that after Sheikh Hasina submitted her resignation letter to the President and left the country today, the army took charge. Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman gave this information after an emergency meeting at the capital’s cantonment on Monday (August 5) at 3:50 pm.
He said that the country will be managed by forming an interim government. I have taken responsibility for people’s lives. You will not be disappointed. All your demands will be fulfilled
