The house of the deceased student is in Jafarpara of Pirganj Upazila of the district. He is a 12th batch student of English department.

When the students return to the room with a procession, they will also return home victorious. A loser’s body will never be accepted by his parents. In front of the main gate in the afternoon, a friend of Saeed said on condition of anonymity, “Saeed was a very bright student. He was the best in the department. Saeed was at the forefront of the quota movement from the beginning. Earlier, Chhatra League had killed him for the quota movement. He was always at the front of the procession with the national flag. Chhatra League targeted him a lot. I was there during the incident. When the police shot him, the Chhatra League leaders were by and told him to shoot. If a policeman didn’t want to shoot, an officer standing by would say, ‘I say do it, shoot.’
Students took out a procession with Saeed’s body in the medical campus. After that, the situation became more heated when the police took the body from them. The students started protesting again demanding the body. At 6:30 in the evening, when the police cars and hundreds of police cordoned towards the campus from Modern Mor, the students became heated again. They protested and went in front of the main gate of the Cadet College and got into an argument with the police. At one point, the police started retreating with armored vehicles in the face of students’ cannon fire.
A platoon of BGB came to ask the students to go back home when they went in front of the Cadet College Post Office. They forced them to retreat. Later they stationed themselves near Modern Junction and claimed the body.
The students complained that the Chhatra League attacked the injured students in Rangpur Medical College Hospital and kicked them out.
Rangpur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Moniruzzaman said that the police fired tearshells and rubber bullets to control the situation. The police car was burnt. At least 10 policemen were injured. One student died in this incident. Trying to control the situation.
Meanwhile, mourning is going on in Jafarpara of Pirganj, the home of the deceased. His father Maqbul Hossain is said to be an activist of Awami League.
