Islami Andolan Bangladesh Amir and Charmonai Pir Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim said that the government itself violated the constitution, used the state machinery and took over the mattress by cheating through dummy elections. Rezaul Karim said that the illegal parliament without public support has no moral right to announce the national budget. The maximum allocation of the debt dependent budget will go towards paying interest on the debt. This means that interest on international and domestic debt of $12 billion will have to be paid earlier this year, which is about a third of the total revenue income.
He said, this government has not done any work for the welfare of the country and people. The government imposed the debt taken from abroad on the people for looting. The responsibility of this debt has to be taken by those who looted from power illegally in the last 15 years.
Charmonai Peer said that the new budget announced by this government is a budget to impose the sword of commodity prices on the people. When the price of oil dropped by $5 per barrel in the international market, this government poisoned the people by increasing the price by Rs.5 per liter. A government budget without such political legitimacy that destroys all pillars of the state can never be public welfare.
