Miscreants hacked to death Zubair Hasan Rafit, a Class 11 student of Commerce College in Mirpur of the capital.
Rafit’s village home in Rupganj, Narayanganj. His father’s name is Abul Basar. He used to study from his uncle’s house in Dhaka.
The incident took place at a house in the housing and settlement quarter next to the commerce college around 7 pm on Saturday. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shah Ali Police Station. Tarikuzzaman confirmed the truth of the incident.
He said that on receiving the news, efforts are being made to recover the bloodied body of Rafit, a college student, from his classmate’s house near Commerce College. CID crime scene unit reached the spot.
The OC said it is believed that the student was hacked to death. Police are investigating the matter.
Nuruzzaman, uncle of the deceased student, said, ‘Rafit left home for coaching in the morning. After he did not return home, he was searched for in various places. In the evening, one of his college teachers informed him that he had been killed. I came and saw my niece lying in a bloody state.’
He also said that a few days ago, Rafit had a quarrel with some of his college friends. The college teachers reconciled the incident. Then the teachers told him that his friends were not good. Stay away from them.
