Rape scandal in India, protest of cricketers

A woman doctor was raped and killed at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata last Friday. In protest against which the whole of India is now in turmoil. Protests are going on in Kolkata. Protests are also taking place in other cities of India demanding justice for this barbaric murder. Indian cricketers also joined the protest.

Former captain and legendary cricketer Sourav Ganguly of Kolkata has criticized the incident. He termed the incident of RG tax as a very unfortunate and reprehensible incident. He also asked the administration to take strict action immediately as there is no excuse for such crimes.

IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer protested this incident. He wrote on his Instagram story, ‘Nothing has changed in the past few years! I am literally devastated after hearing what happened. Let women’s justice be guaranteed.’

India’s star pacer Mohammad Siraj protested this incident by placing several pictures of rape news that happened earlier. He wrote, ‘what excuse will you give? Is it the girl’s fault here? Because men will be men, right?’

Earlier, Bumrah joined the protest. On Thursday, he shared a post of actress Alia Bhatt on his Instagram story. Where he said, ‘Women’s path is not to be changed, emphasis should be placed on changing the environment.’
