Jamaat-e-Islami has demanded reform of the state. Amir of the team Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that the interim government is working to establish good governance. The friends of fascism are trying to destroy the peaceful environment. Citizens must be vocal and united to face any situation in order to protect the uprising of the students. The necessary reforms should be completed and elections should be arranged.
He said these things at the exchange meeting of 12 party alliance at Al Falah Auditorium in Moghbazar of the capital on Thursday. He said, we have to strengthen our unity. Passing a conspiracy time.
Genocide trial, recovery of smuggled money, rule of law and establishment of human rights were discussed in the meeting. It is said that establishment of non-discrimination, communal harmony is necessary for stability and development. Exemplary punishment must be meted out for the killings of fascist government officials, party armed terrorists. Officials who helped the misdeeds of the previous government should be removed and honest, efficient and professional officials should be appointed.
The meeting was attended by 12 party alliance leaders and Jatiya Party chairman Mustafa Jamal Haider and other top leaders of the alliance. Nayeb Amir Dr. Syed Abdullah Md. Taher, A.N.M. Senior Jamaat leaders including Shamsul Islam, Secretary General Mia Ghulam Parwar were also present.
