As part of the central program, BNP will hold sit-in programs in Baitul Mokarram-Gulshan and Dhanmondi on August 15 (Thursday). Besides, the leaders and workers of the party will stand in front of the central office in Nayapaltan. The party’s general secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will be the chief guest in the program in front of the central office. Jatiyatavadi Chhatra Dal will stand in the central Shahid Minar with the same demand. A large number of leaders and activists have been ordered to gather at these places in the capital from 8 am. However, a large number of Chhatra Dal leaders and activists have occupied Dhanmondi number 32 since Wednesday night.
In a press release on Wednesday, it was informed, ‘Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP convener Rafiqul Alam Majnu will lead a sit-in program on August 15 from Baitul Mukarram Gate 1 to the Awami League office and the surrounding areas to demand proper trial of the fugitive murderer Sheikh Hasina and her accomplices. BNP National Executive Committee member Sheikh Rabiul Alam will lead the location program from Sciencelab to Dhanmondi number 32. The activists will stay at both the places from 8 am till further orders.’
Meanwhile, in a press release signed by Jahangir Alam, Secretary (Vice-President rank) of the Chhatra Dal, it was informed that from 8 am on August 15, ‘the killing of army officers in the name of BDR rebellion in Pilkhana in the name of BDR rebellion, the killing of army officers in the name of BDR rebellion, the 28 October logi-baitha rampage, in the darkness of night in Shapla square, numerous Killing innocent scholars and madrasa students, numerous disappearances and murders in the last 15 years, brutally suppressing the democratic movement of the opposition parties including BNP by turning the state forces into monsters, demanding proper trial of the fugitive murderer Hasina and her accomplices, who are the masterminds of the atrocities in the movement for quota reform and safe roads.
