Sheikh Hasina government’s adviser on private industry and investment Salman F Rahman and law minister Anisul Haque were taken to the DB office on Mintu Road in the capital.

In the 2018 election, he was elected from Dhaka-1 constituency and became a member of parliament from Awami League. Later, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina appointed him as his private industry and investment adviser. Salman F Rahman also won the 12th parliamentary elections.
