The United States is ready to work with the interim government of Bangladesh. Because the country has decided a democratic future for its people. US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said this at a regular briefing on Wednesday (August 7). News from NDTV.

In the press conference, Miller said, we are keeping an eye on the changing situation in Bangladesh. Now it is clear that as the head of the interim government. Muhammad Yunus is going to take charge. We believe that the interim government will play an important role in establishing long-term peace and political stability in Bangladesh.

In response to a question, he said, we call upon everyone to remain calm and restrained in the coming days. We are saddened by the casualties and human rights violations so far. We now focus on stopping violence. We support accountability.

Incidentally, the United States has been closely monitoring the violence in the quota movement since its inception. At regular briefings, State Department spokespeople continued to express the US position on the matter. They condemned the casualties caused by the government’s use of force.

The interim government is taking the responsibility of running the country, which is led by Nobel laureate professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. The Chief Minister and members of his council will take oath at Bangabhaban at 8 pm. In total, this number may be 15 people, said Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman. In a press conference at the army headquarters on Wednesday, he said, Thursday (today) at noon. Yunus will return home.
