Jamaat-e-Islami press conference at its office after 13 years

After Sheikh Hasina’s departure, Jamaat-e-Islami held a press conference at its office on Tuesday after 13 years. Amir Shafiqur Rahman of the party appeared in a press conference at their head office in Moghbazar, Dhaka today. Later he held a press conference.

Jamaat-e-Islami came to this office last in 2011. After that, Jamaat-e-Islami, which was cornered during the ruling Awami League government, could never come to this office again. All activities of the party at the head office were closed. Finally, the party went to their office within 24 hours of the fall of the government. They also held a press conference.

Jamaat’s Amir Shafiqur Rahman said in a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, “They dissolved the Parliament very quickly without delaying our strong demand.” Form an interim government.

Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami has agreed to the proposal of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement to see Nobel-winning economist Professor Muhammad Yunus as the head of the interim government. Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami said that his party respects the decision taken by the students.
