Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafikur Rahman said, students Dr. Yunus has been announced as the chief advisor. They can, we hold them in the deepest respect. If the nation is on a healthy path it will be the fruit of their sacrifices.
Shafiqur said, ‘They have the right to say such things. I have requested the President to listen to the students as well. The President has promised to listen to them. So now I am not commenting on this matter.’
When asked about the cancellation of Jamaat-e-Islami’s registration, he said, “The matter is a matter for the court.” Our senior lawyer sought time when the country was in a deadlock. There is scope of law here. This is not our topic now. Now it is up to us how to make the nation peaceful.’
Besides, Shafikur commented that there is no opportunity to do much homework on the outline of the interim government.
He said, ‘The interim said, the caretaker said there would be no need to do much homework on this. Although it is prohibited by law. Law is for the people. Can be revised if necessary. I am working, it will take two days.’
