A fire broke out in a garment factory at Ashulia in Savar of the capital. Seven fire service units are working to control the fire.
The fire took place at Shrabani Knitwear factory in Kathgara Uttarpara area of Ashulia around 7 am on Thursday. The cause of the fire and damage was not immediately known.
Senior Station Officer of DEPZ Fire Service Pranab Chowdhury said, ‘Our seven units are working to control the fire. As the incident happened around 7 am, there were no workers in the factory. No casualty has been reported so far. Details including the cause of the fire will be informed later.
