Chhatra League leaders and activists chased each other with a section of students agitating for quota reform in front of Dhaka University (DU) Vijay Ekatar Hall.
The chase started a little after 3 pm today, Monday. Both sides are throwing bricks and stones at each other. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
It is known that a group of BCL activists started throwing bricks at the protesting students. Later, the agitating students started throwing stones and bricks in return. The area instantly turned into a battlefield.
At one point, after being chased, the leaders and activists of Chhatra League took a position in Vijay Ekatar Hall. Later they ocked the hall and started throwing bricks from inside. Students also threw bricks over the walls of the hall.
Meanwhile, a large number of students gathered in front of TSC’s Raju sculpture from 12.30 pm to demand quota reform in government jobs. Gathering there, they are chanting slogans demanding quota reforms
