Chittagong Metropolitan Police Additional Deputy Commissioner Kamrul Hasan and his wife Saima Begum have been ordered to confiscate illegal assets of Tk 11 crore 35 lakh.
In the morning following the application of the Metropolitan Sessions Judge Dr. The court of Zebunnesha gave this order. Earlier, the ACC investigated the assets outside the known income of Kamrul Hasan, additional deputy commissioner of CMP’s crime department and his wife. After the investigation, the company found illegal assets of Tk 11 crore 35 lakh. After understanding the matter, Kamrul Saima couple started the process of sale and transfer of assets. ACC therefore requested to freeze the movable and immovable assets pending the conclusion of the investigation. At the end of the hearing, the court accepted the application of the ACC and ordered the seizure of all assets.
