PSC has sent a letter to the ACC to investigate the matter of 5 employees dismissed due to question loopholes

The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has written to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to investigate the allegations of question leakage in the recruitment examination.

This letter was sent from the PSC to the ACC Secretary on Wednesday (July 10) evening. The letter was signed by PSC Administration Wing Senior Assistant Secretary Jamila Shabnam.

The five accused are Deputy Director Md Abu Zafar and Jahangir Alam, Assistant Director SM Md Alamgir Kabir and PSC employee Despas Rider Khalilur Rahman and office assistant Sajedul Islam.

According to the letter, a case has been filed against 5 (five) people of the Labor Commission and others for being involved in the commission of crime by illegally collecting the question papers for the post of Deputy Assistant Engineer of Bangladesh Railway, publishing and distributing the question papers before the examination. Among them, 5 employees were arrested and are currently in jail.

Moreover, various print and electronic media have been and are reporting that they are in possession or have acquired ownership of immovable and immovable properties acquired by dishonest means and inconsistent with their known sources of income in their own names and in the names of their family members. Thus acquiring ownership of movable and immovable property inconsistent with known sources of income by dishonest means is a scheduled offense under the Anti-Corruption Commission Act, 2004, and it is necessary to take measures to collect evidence and evidence to file a trial case in the appropriate court after investigation by the Anti-Corruption Commission. Therefore, the organization has requested to investigate these complaints and inform the commission.

When asked about the letter, Public Relations Officer of PSC SM Matiur Rahman said that since the information is coming against them through various means of acquiring wealth outside of the known income, the letter has been sent to the ACC for further investigation and information gathering. PSC has adopted zero tolerance policy in these matters. If any person or organization wants to provide anonymous information about them, they will also know in PSC.
