5 people including two deputy directors of PSC were dismissed in connection with question leak

Five people including two deputy directors of PSC have been suspended for allegedly leaking question papers in the government recruitment examination.  

This information was informed by the Public Service Commission (PSC) on Tuesday (July 9).

The dismissed officers and employees are Deputy Director Abu Zafar and Jahangir Alam, Assistant Director Alamgir Kabir, Dispatch Rider Khalilur Rahman and Office Assistant Sajedul Islam.

According to the PSC, CID arrested five officials and employees of the commission secretariat on the charge of involvement in publication and distribution of question papers for the post of assistant engineer recruitment of Bangladesh Railway held on July 5 and assisting the criminal organization by the responsible employee and they have been taken to jail.

According to Section 11 and 15 of Bangladesh Public Service Commission Act 2023, case number 15/310 was filed at Paltan Police Station and they were temporarily dismissed from service as per Section 39 (2) of Public Service Act 2018 as accused in the case.
