16 people were killed in an Israeli attack on a UN-run school in Gaza, Palestine. The Hamas government said this.
After the start of the Israeli offensive in Gaza, thousands of displaced people took shelter in various schools run by the United Nations.
The Israeli military said the attack took place at the al-Zawni school in Nusirat, central Gaza. Because terrorist activities were being carried out from this school.
Hamas-run Gaza’s Health Ministry strongly condemned Saturday’s attack, describing it as a “heinous massacre”, saying 50 people were injured in the attack. They have been taken to hospital.
The school was home to 7,000 people sheltering at the time of the attack, according to the Hamas government’s press office.
The press office also reported that most of the victims of the attack on the school run by the United Nations Palestinian Refugee Agency were women, children and the elderly.
It should be noted that 38 thousand 98 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli attacks in the war that started on October 7 last year. Most of them are civilians.
