Heat wave is coming in this month

A depression and isolated one to two mild heatwaves are likely during this month, the Met office said. In this month, the country may experience more rain than usual. Heavy rains may cause flooding in different parts of the country.

According to the long-term weather forecast on Monday, there is a possibility of more than normal rainfall in the country as a whole this month.

The forecast signed by Azizur Rahman, director of the Meteorological Department, said that due to heavy monsoon rains in July, short to medium term flooding may occur in some parts of the country’s northern, northeastern, northwestern, north-central and central regions. On the other hand, short-term flash floods may occur in some parts of the south-eastern hilly basin.

One to two low pressures may develop in Bay of Bengal in July. One of which could develop into a monsoon depression. Apart from this, moderate thunderstorms with lightning may occur in the north, north-west and central regions of the country for three to four days. There may be light thunder storm with lightning for five-six days across the country.

According to the forecast, one to two isolated mild heat waves (36-38 degrees Celsius) may occur during this month. Along with that, day and night temperatures may increase slightly.
