In Phulgazi and Parashuram upazilas of Feni, the HSC and equivalent examinations on Tuesday have been postponed. As the flood control dam of Muhuri river broke and inundated the lower areas of the district, the examination for Bengali II paper was postponed.
Feni District Commissioner Muchammat Shahina Akhtar confirmed this information at around 10 am on Tuesday.
The Deputy Commissioner said that several areas of Phulgazi and Parashuram upazilas were flooded after the dam of Muhuri river broke. Concerned authorities were informed about the postponement of today’s examination in consideration of the students. The matter was communicated to the three boards (General Education Board, Madrasa Education Board and Vocational Board) through letters. In view of this, the HSC examination of Fulgazi and Parashuram upazilas has been postponed.
