Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central working council member and Dhaka Metropolitan South Secretary Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud said, ‘As long as God’s law in the society and state is governed by man-made laws ignoring the provisions of the Quran and Sunnah, there can be no real joy of Eid. The real Eid should be celebrated only by making the Islamic ideology victorious in this country.’
He said these things in his address as the chief guest at the Eid reunion program organized by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Department, Paltan South Police Station on Sunday evening.
The program was presided over by Amir Shaheen Ahmed Khan, Shura Member of Dhaka Metropolitan South Majlis and Paltan South Police Station.
Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud said, ‘There is a conspiracy to wipe out Islam and the Islamic movement from this country. Unjust oppression continues in the country. As a true believer, under no circumstances should we lose our faith or trust in Allah. Almighty Allah has fixed a good law for mankind and that is Islam. So we have to follow the rules and regulations of Islam perfectly in our lives.’
He said, ‘As we offered Qurbani inspired by the glory of sacrifice, similarly we have to accept any sacrifice Qurbani for the victory of Deen in Iqama. Eid will be truly fulfilled only by worshiping Allah.’
He also said, ‘Allah has asked us to strive with our lives and wealth to make His religion victorious. So the only one entitled to command is Allah Almighty. As long as that order is not established in our country, Eid is truly meaningless. Today the country’s money is being laundered, people are being killed, people have no right to vote, no right to speak, no right to rice, today people’s right to get a good education has been curtailed. The people of this country are praying to Allah Rabbul Alamin today to get rid of this government. So there is no alternative to the mass movement of Durbar for establishing the rights of the people, for their liberation.’
He urged everyone to play a united role in establishing a government of people’s choice in the country.
In the President’s speech, Shaheen Ahmed Khan said, if we strive to implement the goals and objectives of this organization left behind by the martyrs, then it is hoped that we will be able to reach the desired destination. The true celebration of Eid will be possible only through the victory of Islamic ideals in this country.
Under the direction of Police Station Secretary Advocate Maruful Islam, Metropolitan Majlis Shura Member Mustafizur Rahman Shaheen, Police Station Office Secretary Omar Farooq, Police Station Working Council Member Zia Uddin and various ward level leaders of Paltan South Police Station were also present.
