Member of Parliament of Gazipur-5 (Kaliganj) Constituency Bir Muktijodha Akhtaruzzaman said that BNP-Jamaat is plotting to create new obstacles in the way of our development. On the occasion of the 75th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Awami League, he was speaking as the chief guest at the discussion meeting of Kaliganj Upazila Awami League last Saturday night. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Shariful Islam Sarkar Toran, Vice President of Upazila Awami League in Baghun High School premises. Before this, the rally was taken out in the afternoon. It starts from Kaliganj Govt Sramik College ground. Rounding the main main road of the upazila, it ends in front of Baghun High School.
Akhtaruzzaman MP also said that we do politics with the people of Bengal. Our struggle for people’s democratic rights, political rights, right to rice, right to work, right to live healthy and beautiful. No matter what forces may plot in the path of this struggle, we will stand united with the people against them.
Former Chairman of Gazipur Upazila Parishad Alhaj SM Nazrul Islam, Joint General Secretary of Gazipur District Awami League Advocate Ashrafi Mehdi Hasan and others also spoke at the meeting.
