Those displaced by the poll-terror in West Bengal must be returned by Tuesday

The division bench consisting of Justice Harish Tandon and Justice Hiranmoy Bhattacharya of the Calcutta High Court gave this order on Friday regarding the hearing of the case on the allegations of vote-terror. At the same time, the court said, for the sake of people’s security, the central forces cannot be withdrawn from West Bengal at this moment. The court extended their stay in the state till June 26.

On behalf of the West Bengal government, the state police informed the High Court that so far 859 applications have been filed alleging vote-terror in the state.

After this order of the High Court bench, CPM leader Sujan Chakraborty said that the police are the servants of the rulers of this state. How will they help the homeless?

Meanwhile, today West Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose has written to the Chief Minister complaining about the deteriorating law and order situation in West Bengal. He said that the state government should be more active to bring the law and order situation under control.

In this context, Trinamool spokesperson Kunal Ghosh said that the governor is saying these things to be good to Delhi. Law and order situation has not deteriorated in this state. And it was the BJP that did the post-poll terrorism.

And BJP leader and MLA Shankar Ghosh said that the law and order situation in the state will not improve until the government changes.
