Electricity in villages only goes, not comes: Rizvi

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP, said that electricity only goes to the village, it does not come. When it comes, it has no fixed address.

Rizvi said these words in a short rally after the protest march organized on the road in front of BNP’s central office in Nayapaltan of the capital on Wednesday morning.

Rizvi said that fuel prices have increased due to the anti-people policies of the ‘dummy’ government. The price of water has increased. Electricity prices have increased. The prices of all things have increased abnormally.

This senior joint secretary general of BNP said that many of those who went to the village to celebrate Eid said that the amount of electricity backup needed for IPS is not available. Power comes on for 15 to 20 minutes. Goes away again. After two to three hours electricity comes for half an hour. Then it is no longer traceable.

Rizvi complained that people could not cook due to lack of gas in Dhaka this Eid (Eidul Azha). He said that the meat was spoiled in the house due to lack of electricity and gas. The fridge does not work due to lack of electricity. Fire does not burn for lack of gas.

Rizvi alleged that some individuals have been given the opportunity to loot in the name of so-called development. He said that some people have grabbed people’s land and property. They have occupied the land of ordinary poor people. It is coming in today’s paper.

This BNP leader said that the former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed has been given the opportunity to leave the country. They don’t know how much money his family has smuggled inside the country. In the name of so-called development, the Benazirs have been given the opportunity to loot.

Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP requested the leaders and workers of the party not to stop the procession to get the demands of the people even if they were ‘shot and disappeared’.

BNP health secretary Rafiqul Islam, joint economic secretary Mahmudur Rahman, convenor of Tanti party Abul Kalam Azad, member secretary of fishermen party Abdur Rahim, vice president of volunteer party Zahidul Kabir and others were present in the protest march.

The protest march started in front of the BNP central office in Nayapaltan. The protest march ended at Nayapaltan through Nightingale Junction in Kakrail. At this time, various slogans were given from the protest march.
