Chief of Army Staff SM Shafiuddin Ahmed has said that Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Coast Guard are there for the violence that is taking place along the Myanmar border. They are supervising the matter. The army is ready. If the situation worsens or goes the other way, appropriate action will be taken.


The Prime Minister said this while hoisting the flag of a Brigade Signal Company under the supervision of the 9th Infantry Division of Bangladesh Army at Janjira in Shariatpur on Saturday noon.

At this time, the army chief clearly said that if the external enemy attacks the country, it will be resisted.

SM Shafiuddin Ahmed said Bangladesh Army is being modernized to implement the Forces Goal 2030. This is reflected in the hoisting of the flag of the Brigade Signal Company. It is the duty of the army to protect the sovereignty of the country. They are fully prepared for that.

Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, local parliament members and senior army officials were present on the occasion.
