Two children died due to electrocution while playing in Brahmanbaria. This incident took place in Chhota Bakail village of Majlishpur Union of Sadar Upazila on Sunday afternoon.
Name of the two children killed. Nayan (11) and Naeem Islam (11). Among them, Nayan is the son of Shamim Mia of Chota Bakail area and Naeem is the son of Idan Mia of the same area.
Sub-inspector Shahidul Alam, the officer in charge of the Beat Police of Majlishpur Union of Sadar Upazila, confirmed the truth of the incident and said that two children, Nayan and Naeem, were playing in the courtyard of the house this afternoon. At that time, the tin house was electrified by the touch of the electric wire passing over the tin rice. At that time, two children playing in the yard touched the tin house at one stage of the game. They were electrocuted and killed on the spot. They were found dead after being rescued by local people along with their relatives.
Deputy Inspector Shahidul Islam said that a team of police visited the spot after receiving the information. However, further action will be taken based on the complaint of the families of the two children killed in this regard.
Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Salim Sheikh said that he received news of the death of two children through various channels. The death of two children on the eve of Eid is very shocking. Upazila administration will be with the family of two children if necessary.
