Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has once again raised questions about the stability of the third term of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government. But this time in public.

Speaking to the press in Bengaluru on Friday, Kharge said, ‘NDA has somehow formed the government. by mistake Narendra Modi did not get the public mandate to form the government. His government is in minority. The fall of that government can happen at any time.’

The Congress president first raised the possibility of a government fall in Delhi. In a meeting with the leaders of the India Alliance after the election results were announced. However, his comments were not public. Friday’s comments are public.

Kharge said, ‘We want the government to run. It is good for the country. We also want to work together for the country. To strengthen the country. But the habit of our Prime Minister is such that he does not let what goes well. But we can say from our side, we will cooperate with the government to strengthen the country.

The BJP and partners were quick to respond to Kharag’s comments. Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai said, ‘If he thinks the government will fall after seeing the democratic interest in the swearing-in ceremony, it will not last long. If so, I will say, he is living in a fool’s paradise.

NDA ally Bihar JDU leader Neeraj Kumar again reminded Kharge of the Congress-led coalition government. He said, after the 1991 elections, the situation of the Congress was the same. At that time Narasimha Rao formed a minority government. He continued. According to him, the Congress is still stuck in the circle of 99 (total Congress seats). Can’t get out of there.

Bihar RJD leader Ijaz Ahmed, however, supported Kharge and said, ‘He is right. Public order was not in favor of that government. Voters also did not accept Modi.’

Trinamool Congress wanted the Congress to take initiative to form the government after the results of the Lok Sabha polls. It will not be right to let BJP form the government. But at that time, it is seen that the additional support needed to form the government is not possible for ‘India’ to get quickly. The Congress president then said to wait for the right time.

After that meeting, Trinamool leader Mamata Banerjee said in a meeting of party MPs, ‘India will form the government in the coming days. It’s just a matter of time. The team is keeping an eye on the situation.’ This time Kharg’s comments also indicated that waiting.
