Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of the country, admitted to authorizing the tweet by comparing the current situation in Pakistan with the situation during the Bangladesh War of Independence in 1971.
However, he claimed not to know anything about the video that was posted with that tweet on his X account (formerly Twitter). Imran said that he did not know the content of the video so he would not comment on it.
Imran Khan said this to reporters during a hearing in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail last Friday. The hearing of the Toshakhana corruption case against Imran Khan is going on.
On May 26, a tweet with a video was posted from Imran Khan’s X account. In that post, he requested the people of Pakistan to read the report of the Hamdur Rahman Commission.
When asked whether Imran Khan will discuss with political parties now, he replied in the negative. He said that he prefers to discuss with real power holders instead of proxies or shadow people.
