A day before returning to Switzerland, an expatriate died after being hit by a truck

Srinagar upazila of Munshiganj was hit by two trucks. A motorcycle rider named Mizanur Rahman (40) died. Another person was injured in this incident. The accident took place at Baribarkhola intersection on Srinagar-Dohar road in Baghra Union at around 7:30 am on Friday.

The deceased, Mizanur Rahman, is the son of late Oli Khalasi of Satvita village, Doha, Dhaka. A month ago he came home from Switzerland on holiday. He was supposed to return to Switzerland tomorrow, Saturday. Name of the injured person. Al Amin (38). He was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition.

According to police and local sources, Mizanur and Al Amin were going towards Doha via Baghra in Srinagar on a motorcycle from the capital Dhaka. Two trucks of Shah Cement were also going towards Doha along this route. Around 7:30 in the morning, Mizanur Rahman tried to take the motorcycle through the empty part of the two trucks. At that time the motorcycle fell between two trucks. Mizanur was killed on the spot and Al Amin was seriously injured. Later local people rescued him and sent him to Dhaka Medical.

Deputy Inspector (SI) of Srinagar Police Station. Sikandar Hossain said that two trucks have been impounded in this incident, but the driver of the truck and their assistants are absconding. The body of the deceased was handed over to the relatives in the afternoon. Legal action is under process in this incident.
