Mirza Fakhrul praised Jamaat’s politics

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir spoke as the chief guest at a discussion meeting at the National Press Club’s Abdus Salam Auditorium in the capital on Sunday afternoon. At that time, he spoke about BNP founder and late president Ziaur Rahman and the government as well as the politics of Jamaat.

Secretary General of BNP said, I do not support the politics of Jamaat. But their organizational structure is very scientific. Self study and pass the exam. That’s why I say let there be politics instead of politics. Do your research. Act as a think tank.

He also said that their student camp has a study cell. Every one of them has to study. Publish books and magazines themselves. You cannot be successful without the practice of knowledge.

Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) organized this discussion on the 43rd martyrdom anniversary of BNP founder and former president Ziaur Rahman. 

Executive Director of the organization Professor Dr. Under the chairmanship of Farhad Halim Donor and convener of Martyrdom Anniversary Committee Engineer Mahbub Alam, the former political science teacher of Dhaka University spoke at the meeting. Nurul Amin Bepari, Member Secretary of the Combined Professional Council, Quader Gani Chowdhury, Journalist Amirul Islam Kaggi, Dhaka University Sada Dal convener Professor Lutfar Bhai, Jahangirnagar University Professor Kamrul Ahsan, Professor Samsul Alam Salim, Dr. Abu Nasser and others.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, the ruling government is not patriotic, they are bargi. That’s why the country’s money is looted and taken abroad. The rulers today are mired in corruption.

He said, the nation is now divided by dilemma. Ziaur Rahman himself did not enter politics. He was brought. Seeing his leadership during the Great War of Liberation in 71, the soldiers gave him responsibility again in 75. 

BNP Secretary General said that the election system of the country has been destroyed. People no longer go to vote.
