The government canceled the contractual appointments of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Assistant Private Secretary (APS-2) Gazi Hafizur Rahman and Deputy Press Secretary (DPS) Hasan Zahid Tushar.
A notification in this regard has been issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday.
According to the two termination notices of both, their contractual appointment has been canceled with effect from June 1 as per clause-8 of the executed contract letter.
Incidentally, Gazi Hafizur Rahman was appointed as Assistant Private Secretary (APS-2) to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on January 28 this year. Hasan Zahid Tushar was also appointed Deputy Press Secretary on the same day. Before that, they both served in the same position.
The notification of their appointment stated that their contractual appointment would continue for the duration of the Prime Minister’s tenure or his pleasure (whichever occurs earlier).
