Earlier this recruitment circular was published on 14 June 2023. The written examination of these two departments was held on March 29. Dhaka and Chittagong Division written (MCQ) examination results for the post of assistant teachers in government primary schools in the third phase were published on April 21. The revised results of the written examination of the third phase (21 districts of Dhaka and Chittagong divisions except 3 hill districts) of the assistant teacher recruitment examination in government primary schools were published the next day. Oral examination starts from 9th of this month.
Meanwhile, a report was published in a daily on April 25 under the title ‘Madaripur Leaked Question Solved in Dhaka: Primary Teacher Recruitment Test (Third Phase)’. Adding this report, 16 candidates, including Jewel Ratan Das, aspirant for appointment to the post of assistant teacher, filed the writ this month, asking for instructions to investigate the complaint of question paper fasing.
Lawyer Syed Syedul Haque, accompanied by lawyers Liton Ahmed and Zahirul Islam, heard on behalf of the writ petitioners. Deputy Attorney General Tushar Kanti Roy and Assistant Attorney General Salim Azad appeared for the state.
According to the notification issued on June 14, the rule sought to know why the failure or inaction in the fair examination for the appointment of assistant teachers should not be declared outside the legal authority. At the same time, as per the notification, it has been asked why it will not be ordered to take the new recruitment test. The respondents, including the Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education and the Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education, have been asked to respond to the ruling.
