A coach of Turag Express derailed at Dhirashram station in Gazipur city. Train movement on one line of the Jaidebpur-Dhaka railway has been stopped due to this.
This incident happened around 8:30 am on Thursday.
Tongi Railway Station Master Rakibur Rahman confirmed the matter.
According to train passengers and railway sources, after the Dhaka-bound Turag Express train reached Dhirashram station, the second compartment of the train derailed. There were no casualties. However, one line of the Dhaka-Joidebpur railway has been closed due to derailment of the train carriage.
Jaidebpur Railway Junction Chief Station Master Hanif Ali said that the second compartment of Turag Express train derailed. Work is underway to recover the carriages and restore normal train movement.
